Promotiemateriaal voor het Lana Del Rey Fanparty in poppodium De Helling
Voor deze opdracht werd er aan mij gevraagd of ik promotiemateriaal kon maken zonder foto's van Lana Del Rey te gebruiken, aangezien dit problemen zou kunnen veroorzaken op het gebied van auteursrechten. Daarom heb ik een Illustratie van Lana Del Rey gemaakt in een vintage comic-achtige stijl op basis van een iconische foto van de artiest.
For this assignment, I was asked if I could create promotional material without using pictures of Lana Del Rey, as this could cause copyright issues. That's why I made an Illustration of Lana Del Rey in a vintage comic style based on an iconic photo of the artist
Om de Lana Del Rey "aesthetic" te complimenteren heb ik Lana Del Rey op Pinterest opgezocht en kreeg ik vooral veel 80's Hollywood vibes en objecten zoals cassettebandjes. Zo heb ik een cassetteband geïllustreerd in Illustrator en er tekst opgezet in een font die goed aansluit op het vintage gevoel. Een tijdje later schoot het me ineens te binnen dat het misschien wel een leuk idee is om de twee illustraties samen te voegen door de Illustratie van Lana in het cassettebandje te zetten. Zo ben ik uiteindelijk op dit resultaat gekomen.
To compliment the Lana Del Rey "aesthetic" I looked up Lana Del Rey on Pinterest and got a lot of 80's Hollywood vibes and objects like cassette tapes. So I illustrated a cassette tape in Illustrator and added text in a font that fits well with the vintage feel. A while later it suddenly occurred to me that it might be a nice idea to merge the two illustrations by putting Lana's illustration in the cassette tape. That's how I finally arrived at this result.
